I have been a graphic designer since 1990 and still cannot imagine doing anything else. I started my own business in 2001 with the determination to provided clients with marketing services that would make any size company shine. It was with that goal that I worked to combine my clients' objectives, budgets and marketing solutions to promote their business.
I partnered with Hometown Magazines in 2015 as an extension to what I already do. You see, for many years I have received the publication at my home and always saw the value in it, so whenever I knew a client could benefit from advertising, I sent them to Doug. This win/win helped to grow both our businesses, so when the opportunity to partner with him presented itself, I jumped at it. Since then I been working to maintain the same high standards that Doug set while adding my own touch.
It is my hope that you will continue to see the great value in the publications.
Thank you so much for visiting Hometown Magazines. My name is Doug Bower and I left "Corporate America" in 2005 to start my own business and I haven't looked back since. Publishing and marketing is what I love to do and I am so grateful to the many small businesses that have advertised with me over the years.
In July of 2015, the journey of life took me in a new direction and I moved to Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, just outside of Charleston. I have been publishing magazines in Charleston, just as I had done in Howard & Baltimore counties. When I left my biggest concern was leaving my clients and the relationships that I built with them, so I partnered with Zoe Cohen of ZLC Design. Zoe has taken over where I left off, which has given me the peace of mind that my clients and friends will be in good hands.
I look forward to seeing everyone when I come back to visit.
